Hello,

I got Painter Classic that comes with Wacom graphire to run by
right clicking and /properties/run in win95 mode in Vista, but I have to
make a '/file/new' pic before I can actually load a picture. If I have more
probs I'll try your exe.

Geert, thanks a million for getting my Painter 6 to run again, with your added emailed comments. Just when I was about to give up all hope...

I have been running your fix for Painter Classic for four months.
Today 4/11/2008 AVg reports that a Trojan Horse \"Backdoor Agent WRV\" is infecting NewPClassic.exe. I know this is not true as my file is the same size as my downloaded file from your site. Today I downloaded again from your site and again Avg reported the Trojan
in the downloaded file

I have a problem with Poser 4. I installed it on windows xp and tried to open it and it responds "Out of memory". I unzipped the folder to the metacreations/poser program folder and it asks for a password.? Is there another way to do this?

In our school the students could only run Art Dabbler (Metacreations Corel) on 2002 WinXP Pro SP2 computers with 256mb RAM, but not on anything newer with 512 mb. (All comuters are on our domain, and student accounts are not administrator accounts.) After trying several virtual memory changes on newer machines, I found your site and tried one of your solutions for Corel Painter, but it still didn't work on new machines.
I don't remember why I tried it, but I created a generic student with administrator privileges (just for running Art Dabbler). It now runs perfectly, without Program Compatibility, even on the 2006 machines with 1 Gb RAM. I don't really have to know, but I'd love to know why.

Hello,
I was just wondering if their is a fix or something that will enable me to install Painter Classic 1 while using Windows XP. My computer crashed and I lost everything on c drive. I keep trying to reinstall the Painter Classic I got with the wacom tablet but it won't install. Any suggestions?
Thanks

Ik heb je patch voor Corel Classis Paint gedownload. Het werkt. Dank je wel - mijn complimenten voor de helderheid en openheid op je website. Zodra ik weer wat geld heb, zal ik een donatie maken!

Man, I really like Painter Classic even without the layers and stuff. So thanks so much for the fix on the memory issues. =] Now I can run it on my new laptop...

Except for the other bug that happens when your video card can support dual monitors. That means that the place where your curser is, ends up being 2 inches away from where the stroke appears on the screen. =[

I tested this way back on my Mac when I had two video cards and found that nothing short of disconecting the extra montor and restarting the machine would fix the bug back then. The problem is, my video card on my new laptop doesn't seem to have an option to make the dual monitor thing stop making Painter Classic freak out. And I can take it out of the machine, alas... currently the card is a GFX0028 nvidia 128MB graphics card.

So I'm not sure what to expect but I was hoping that maybe you'd have a suggestion? If not maybe you know a good place to ask for help? I really like Painter Classic and would like to use it some more but it'd be tough going as is.

Er, anyway... thanks for the tiny program fix so I can start Painter and any extra help you can give would be awesome.
